Floral Mangement Magazine
From the March 2001 issue of Floral Management magazine, in the article Tracking Wedding Trends, by Katie Potthoff:

"Products that have subtle significance to the couple can also be effective. Jeri Solomon Floral Design did a wedding for  couple who had gotten engaged in a vineyard, so she used grapes as an accent for the archway and centerpieces...Solomon says another way she tries to make flowers personal are by incorporating seasonal elements into the flowers, to remind the couple of the time of year they were married. "we try to tailor it to the season -- lots of berries and herbs in the fall bouquets especially," says Solomon."

"But perhaps the biggest floral break with tradition is occurring with the bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets. Bridesmaid bouquets no longer have to be matching and the bridal bouquets no longer have to be neutral. Instead, Solomon has done a wedding where the bridesmaid has one type of bouquet, the bride had another and the maid of honor had elements for both to represent she is the step between the two."
